Maren Morris revealed big plans to expand on her latest full-length project, Humble Quest, days after tweeting a mysterious hint that she had something in the works. The award-winning singer-songwriter announced plans to debut Humble Quest: In Rare Form, a short film with seven reimagined tracks from the album that released earlier this year.
“This came as an idea to me near the end of my tour when my band and I had worked so hard every show to find new moments to make each performance magical and unique,” Morris shared as she posted a trailer on her social media channels on Wednesday (November 2). “We were able to reimagine the songs of Humble Quest in this very stripped, beautiful form at sunset on a hill in North Carolina. No lighting, no bells and whistles, just Mother Nature, music and friendship. Oh, and some pretty good gin & tonics.”
The announcement comes shortly after Morris wrote a Halloween-themed tweet on Monday (October 31), saying, “I don’t do tricks but I’ve got a treat coming for you Friday.” Almost instantly, her fans buzzed with guesses of what the announcement might be, including new music, an “I Can’t Love You Anymore” music video or additional tour dates. Morris is set to wrap up her “Humble Quest Tour” next month at Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tennessee.
Morris released Humble Quest in March, launching a new era that features some of her “happiest work.” Among other fan-favorites, the 11-track album includes Morris’ autobiographical track, “Circles Around This Town,” “Background Music,” “Nervous,” “I Can’t Love You Anymore” and “Hummingbird,” the song Morris wrote for her now 2-year-old son Hayes on the day she found out she was pregnant.
Humble Quest: In Rare Form is due on Friday (November 4). See Morris’ post about Humble Quest: In Rare Form here:
