Maren Morris Reveals What Ryan Hurd Said To Make Her Laugh On Stage

Maren Morris revealed what Ryan Hurd said to her during a live performance to make her laugh — and she almost missed her next lyric of the song. The husband and wife duo took the stage during the 2022 CMT Music Awards in Nashville on Monday evening (April 11), singing “I Can’t Love You Anymore.” It’s one of 11 tracks on Morris’ long-awaited new album Humble Quest, which released late last month.

Sharing a clip of the CMT Music Awards performance on her social media channels on Tuesday (April 12), Morris wrote in her caption: “For the record, [Ryan Hurd] said ‘you’re not a b****, baby’ which made me laugh and almost miss my next lyric. 💕😂 I truly can’t love you anymore than I do now.” Hurd said it in response to Morris’ line in the song where she sings: “And you like me even when I've been a b****.”

Morris is one of many artists included in the star-studded lineup at the iHeartCountry Festival presented by Capital One, set for May 7 in Austin, Texas.
