After weeks of hyping the song on TikTok (as he showed off the dance moves to it, of course), Walker Hayes finally released “Y’all Life” on Friday (July 15). The summertime country anthem is all about the staples of small-town life, “where it’s all football and Jesus,” and where “my mama’s sweet tea is the sweetest.” Hayes even nods to Nelly's iconic 2000 hit, “Country Grammar.”

“I would go back to the day we made the Y’all Life video in a heartbeat,” Hayes said on Instagram. “Got to hang with some of my favorite people!”

Hayes has been sharing snippets of “Y’all Life” on TikTok for the past few weeks, teaming up with his family to debut the new dance. Some of the most popular clips were filmed in a mall, including one that was filmed in the food court that captured an employee who hilariously “jumped in like a champ” when he noticed the Hayes family dancing and couldn't resist joining them.

Country fans undoubtedly know Hayes from previously-released fan-favorite songs, including “AA,” “Craig” (the “real person” who inspired the song and co-wrote the book Glad You’re Here), “Delorean” and “Fancy Like,” the wildly popular single that catapulted Hayes to a new level of success. Those songs were all part of the 13-track project, Country Stuff The Album, which Hayes released in January. The collection also included collaborations with Jake Owen, Lori McKenna, Carly Pearce and MercyMe.
