Luke Combs and his wife, Nicole, joyously shared that they’ve welcomed their first child. Their son, Tex Lawrence Combs, made his arrival on Father’s Day (Sunday, June 19), the proud parents announced on their social media channels on Tuesday afternoon (June 21).
Thousands of congratulatory comments poured in for the Combs family, including from some of the biggest stars in the country music industry. Dierks Bentley, a father of three, commented on the sweet photo of Combs with his wife and son: “Congrats dude! Welcome to dad club.” Scotty McCreery, who announced earlier that day that he and his wife are expecting their first child, wrote, “Congrats man!” Jordan Davis, Mitchell Tenpenny, Jake Owen, Cole Swindell, Dan Smyers of Dan + Shay, RaeLynn, Miranda Lambert (Combs’ duet partner on the only collaboration on his album that’s set to release on Friday, June 24), Priscilla Block, Jon Langston, Charlie Worsham and many other celebrated Tex’s arrival.
Combs and his wife announced the pregnancy earlier this year, and the “Forever After All” singer “couldn’t agree more” that his son seemed to decide that Father’s Day was the perfect day to arrive. “Me and [Nicole Combs] are over the moon in love with this little guy,” the proud father shared on Tuesday. “Mama and baby are healthy and we’re back home now with family. Life is good.”
“It’s going to be hard to top this past Father’s Day,” Nicole added in her own post (which garnered sweet messages from Smyers’ wife Abby, Brian Kelley’s wife Brittney, RaeLynn and thousands of others). “Welcome to the world, Tex Lawrence Combs. You are the best chillest angel boy and I’m so happy I was chosen to be your mom. These are the days.”
