Kelsea Ballerini and Morgan Evans have reportedly reached a settlement in their divorce. The two country singer-songwriters confirmed in August that they were splitting up, announcing that they were calling it quits in separate statements shared on their Instagram stories.
The exes reached an agreement on October 24, per documents obtained by PEOPLE that were filed in Davidson County, Tennessee. PEOPLE reports Thursday afternoon (November 3) that Ballerini and Evans, who signed a prenuptial agreement, have both “vacated the marital residence,” listed the Nashville home for sale and divided furniture and other items. Representatives for both artists did not respond to PEOPLE’s request for comment as of publication time.
“Friends, I’ve always tried my best to share my life with you in a real and vulnerable way, while also protecting layers of my personal life as they unfold,” Ballerini, 29, wrote in a statement to her social media followers in August. “This is now public record so I wanted you to hear from me directly that I am going through a divorce. This deeply difficult decision is the result of a journey of love, growth, and effort that ultimately has come to an end. It’s hard to find the words here…but I feel extremely grateful for the years of marriage to Morgan and hopeful for the next seasons. With very active schedules coming up, please be mindful that we are both fragile, actively healing, and showing up the best we can. Kels.”
Evans, 37, has previously opened up about the “difficult time in my life” as he split from Ballerini after nearly five years of marriage. The couple tied the knot in December of 2017. Evans, who has since released the heartbreak ballad “Over For You” (which Ballerini “liked” on Instagram), confirmed in his own statement at the time: “I am very sad to confirm that after almost 5 years of marriage, Kelsea and I are parting ways. I wish it were otherwise but sadly it is not.”
