Lainey Wilson’s world spins around her loved ones, country music, her hometown and more — and that won’t change any time soon. Wilson shared another song from her highly-anticipated album that’s set to release next month, and her fans and fellow singer-songwriters were quick to praise the sentimental track.
“Live Off” is one of 14 tracks listed on Bell Bottom Country, Wilson’s long-awaited follow-up to Sayin’ What I’m Thinkin’, which included her breakout single “Things A Man Oughta Know.” The previous iHeartRadio “On The Verge” artist and reigning iHeartRadio Music Awards Best New Country Artist confirmed earlier this week that she would drop “Live Off,” marking the third Bell Bottom Country song to become available.
“This one’s one of my favorites off of my new album so I’m really excited to let y’all hear it early!” Wilson said on Instagram, referring to her project that’s due on October 28. “’Live Off’ is all about the things that make my world go ‘round… my backroads hometown, my dog [Hippie Mae Wilson], my family, my friends, and music of course.”

Wilson started to give fans a sense of what to expect in her next era earlier this year, when she released “Heart Like A Truck.” The empowering anthem is “about movin’ forward… This is a song that is just one of those powerful anthem songs that people need to hear. I think we all got a heart like a truck.” She added, on the day it released: “Nothing can hold me back from moving forward and finding a way to enjoy life, no matter what. I hope this song reminds y’all of that.”
Next, Wilson debuted the nostalgic song that reflects on a first love. “Watermelon Moonshine” is a “coming of age ballad” that associates a memory with the buzz of a mason jar: “Too young to know what love was/ But we were learning on a sweet buzz/ There’s never nothin like the first time/ Mines always gonna taste like… watermelon moonshine.”
