LeAnn Rimes is getting into the holiday spirit, announcing her upcoming “JOY: The Holiday Tour” on Monday (August 29). The country music icon will begin her festive nationwide trek on December 2, with shows through December 18. Rimes, who just celebrated her 40th birthday, will also include a previously-announced stop at the historic Ryman Auditorium in Nashville, Tennessee. Rimes shared in July: “nashville!! performing at [the Ryman] always brings me so much joy and this december, i want you all to join in that joy with me!”
The “awakening” singer will perform beloved holiday songs in addition to some of her greatest hits and new tracks from her highly-anticipated album, god’s work, which is set to release on September 16. The 12-track project is nearly three years in the making, with powerful collaborations with Mickey Guyton, Ziggy Marley, Aloe Blacc, Ben Harper, Ledisi, Sheila E., and others. Rimes has previously released “the only,” “how much a heart can hold,” “the wild” and other tracks. Tickets to Rimes’ “JOY: The Holiday Tour” dates (aside from the Ryman Auditorium show, which went on sale last month) will be available Thursday (September 1) at 10 a.m. local time.
