Walker Hayes unleashed what he predicts will be “one of the most fun live songs to sing” to kick off the weekend on Friday (August 26). “That Dog’ll Hunt” is officially available, and the hit-making country artist said, “y’all go crank this one up.”
“Local radio got somethin' country on it / An oldie but a goodie, y'all, still slaps, don't it? / Skeeter ridin' shotgun, lickin' the wind with his tongue (Ooh, son) / Ayy, baby, careful now, kissin' on your chauffeur / Daisy Duke legs make me wanna pull it over / Take a little walk in the clover where the wild things run (Ooh) / That dog'll hunt (Ooh).”
Hayes announced earlier this month that “That Dog’ll Hunt” would release on August 26. His announcement included a few throwback photos of Skeeter, “the best dog I ever had. We will be singing about him together on 8/26,” he shared. It follows previous fan-favorites like “Y’all Life,” “Fancy Like,” “AA,” “Craig” and “Delorean,” to name a few. Hayes shared earlier this week that his latest country anthem “has been an all time fav in the Hayes household ever since we wrote it…” Listen to “That Dog’ll Hunt” here:
