Tyler Hubbard kicked off the weekend with a new batch of songs worthy of cranking up the volume (and maybe having a dance party, like his kids often do). The country singer-songwriter released Dancin’ In The Country, a “specially curated” collection of songs on Friday (August 19).
Dancin’ In The Country is Hubbard’s latest solo project to release, following fan-favorite singles “Way Home,” “35’s” and “5 Foot 9,” which also appears on the 6-track project. Dancin’ In The Country debuted just in time for Hubbard to join country superstar Keith Urban on tour (which also includes Ingrid Andress) next month, and arrived months before his full-length album is set to drop on January 27, 2023. Hubbard teamed up with Urban, Ross Copperman and Jon Nite to write the new collection’s title track, “Dancin’ In The Country,” notes a press release shared by the country artist’s record label.
“It’s an exciting season,” Hubbard said in a statement. “Can’t wait to be out with Keith, and I hope everybody knows these new songs. I wanted to get some more music out before I hit the road with Keith so there was actually some songs out there that the fans can get to know, and these songs are fun and I’m super excited about them.” He added in a statement on Instagram:
“Words can’t express how grateful I am to have this new music out. I’ve poured my heart and soul into this music and every step of the process has been an absolute blast. None of this would have been possible without all of the amazing writers, musicians, producers, mixer, and all the others behind the scenes who helped me bring these songs to life. I’m forever grateful for you and it’s an absolute honor to get to create together. I genuinely hope this music brings the fans as much joy as it’s brought me and I can’t thank y’all enough for all the support and love you’ve shown me as we continue this journey together. I look forward to getting to know each other even better. These songs were written and recorded with one thing in mind, to be played live. I’ve dreamed of hearing my fans sing these songs with me and that dream is about to become reality this Fall on THE SPEED OF NOW WORLD TOUR. I can’t wait.”
Urban congratulated Hubbard on the release, saying that it was “a freakin blast of a day writing Dancin’ in the Country.” He also said he’s “psyched to have u come join me and [Ingrid Andress] on our TSON tour this fall and cannot wait to hear these new jams LIVE !!!!!”

Hubbard explained that the dance-worthy title track was inspired by his family, including his wife, Hayley, and their three kids: Liv, Atlas and Luca. He shared that the family often holds their own “dance parties” after dinner, turning on “party lights” in their playroom. Now that Hubbard knows the song is a hit at the family dance parties, he hopes audiences are ready to dance along to it, too.
“’Dancin’ In The Country’ is just a really fun, uptempo country song that I’m super excited to play live,” Hubbard said. “I was fortunate enough to get to write this with Ross Copperman, Jon Nite and Keith Urban, who’s just incredible as a writer and a guitarist, and he and Ross Copperman really helped capture the feel and emotion of this song sonically and also me and Jon Nite really tried to dial in the lyrics and they were also very helpful with that. But just an incredible day of songwriting and a really cool song that came from it and a song that sounds like nothing else on the project, and honestly, a song that was inspired by these nightly dance parties we’ve been having in my house after dinner. Me and the three kids and my wife we go in the playroom, turn the party lights on just about every night and have a dance party. So, this is one of those songs that always worked in the dance parties and feels like something that’ll be really fun to take on tour and play live and hopefully get the crowd moving the way the kids do during the dance parties. So, ‘Dancin’ In The Country’ is just a fun one.”
