Kane Brown will make history when he takes the stage at the upcoming 2022 MTV Video Music Awards, becoming the first male country artist to perform during the show on Sunday, August 28. Brown will deliver a debut televised performance of his one of his latest singles, “Grand,” which became a quick fan-favorite track since its release last month.
Brown, 28, is sure to make an “epic ‘VMAs’ debut” with his history-making performance as the Toyota Stage headliner. The news on Thursday (August 11) marks his latest VMAs milestone since last year, when he was the only country artist to receive a nomination in the “Video For Good” category for his single “Worldwide Beautiful,” a press release announcing Brown’s performance noted.
Other artists set to perform at the 2022 VMAs include Anitta, J Balvin, Marshmello x Khalid, Panic! at the Disco, and Nicki Minaj, who will also receive the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award during the show. See the full list of 2022 MTV VMA nominees here.
