Maddie & Tae made a long-awaited announcement on Monday (April 25)… The “Girl In A Country Song” duo will head out on tour this year, bringing special guests Sacha and Abbey Cone. It’s all part of the “CMT Next Women of Country Tour Presents: All Song No Static Tour,” which is set to kick off in September.
CMT notes that the tour was rescheduled when Taylor Kerr welcomed her baby early. She and husband John Kerr announced in November that they were expecting their daughter to arrive in spring. Taylor was admitted into the hospital after a routine checkup at 24 weeks, and Leighton Grace arrived early on January 17. She spent 53 days in the NICU before coming home. The Kerrs said when Leighton Grace was born that she was “beautiful, strong and everything we have ever dreamed of.”
The reigning CMT Group/Duo Video of the Year winners released their latest 8-track EP, Through The Madness Vol. 1, on January 28. Maddie Font exclusively told iHeartCountry that Through The Madness Vol. 2 is set to release in September, and two tracks will release before then “so our fans, we won’t leave ‘em hanging.”
“This album is the product of finding and focusing on the beauty, love, growth, strength and wisdom you gain through the madness if you look for it,” Maddie & Tae explained when they debuted the first volume. “Through the chaos of these past couple of years, especially these past couple of months for us, we learn time and time again that love is enough to carry us through. May this album be a giant hug and hand for you to hold through the madness.”
