Jake Owen is embarking on a nationwide trek as he kicks off his 34-city “Up There Down Here” Tour. The list of dates is set to begin in Ohio next month and run through the summer. The list also includes a few highly-anticipated festivals.
“Looking forward to getting back out there, bringing smiles and happiness and some new tunes. The world needs more of that,” Owen said in a statement on Monday (April 25).
The tour bears the same name as Owen’s latest single, “Up There Down Here,” which he released last month. He promised a “banger” that serenades: “She's a little up there, down here/ Puts a little King James in my John Deere/ Thank the Lord the girl's got my back/ Hangs her halo by my Carhartt hat/ I’mma raise a little hell, she's Heaven on Earth/ The grace to my grit and the rain on my dirt/ I’m a little down-home, cold beer/ She's a little up there, down here/ Amen, amen”
Before that, Owen also released the heartbreak anthem “Fishin’ On A River,” which reflects on a past relationship and missing the one that got away. “I knew I had to cut this song the moment I heard it,” Owen previously said in a statement. “When you first hear the title, you’d think it’s a good ole Country anthem about fishin’ with the boys. Instead, it’s a love done gone, sway along track that most everyone can relate. Here’s to the brokenhearted chasing their blues away with Jack and Rye instead of bass and fishing line.”
The country hitmaker teased more new music, taking to his social media channels on Sunday (April 24) to announce that a new single is coming on Friday (April 29). See Owen’s list of tour dates below:
