Ella Langley delivered a heartfelt rendition of a classic country ballad when she caught up with hosting duo Dan and Reid Isbell on a recent episode of God’s Country.
The “you look like you love me” award winner teamed up with the Isbell brothers to cover “Rose Colored Glasses” by Kentucky-born country singer John Conlee. The song first made its debut in the late 1970s, and appeared on Conlee’s 10-track Greatest Hits record in the 1980s: “These rose-colored glasses/ That I'm lookin' through/ Show only the beauty/ ‘Cause they hide all the truth.”
“This week Reid and Dan host #1 and platinum artist, Ella Langley, out in God’s Country. The episode has a bit of a twist where Ella has her dad, Jason, join her in the studio to talk her upbringing and tell some epic southern whitetail stories. Dan and Reid — who have written music for Luke Combs, Miranda Lambert, Scotty McCreery, Jon Pardi, Lainey Wilson and others — started their weekly podcast this year. Guests appearing on the show so far include HARDY, Dustin Lynch, Colbie Caillat and others.
