HARDY, known for his powerful storytelling in his award-winning songwriting, doled out hunting stories, ghost tales and got candid about mental health in the music business. The the mockingbird & THE CROW star appeared on the latest episode of God’s Country this week.

The newly-launched podcast embraces country music and the outdoor lifestyle. Brothers and country music songwriters Dan Isbell and Reid Isbell started the weekly series earlier this month. HARDY – “Hard Rock” HARDY – joins the Isbell brothers to “talk about life on tour and the haunting aftermath of an arrowhead hunting venture. HARDY tells the origin story of his latest title track, ‘the mockingbird & THE CROW,’ and promotes mental health awareness for artists and writers across the landscape of the music business.”

Dan and Reid Isbell have written music for Luke Combs, Miranda Lambert, Scotty McCreery, Jon Pardi, Lainey Wilson and other powerhouse country artists. God’s Country, an iHeartPodcasts/MeatEater show, is featured as part of iHeartMedia’s “Podcast, meet Broadcast” initiative, airing God’s Country as a broadcast special on select country stations on Sunday evenings between 7-11:30 p.m. local time.

“One of our favorite things about country music has always been how intertwined it is with the outdoors,” hosts Dan and Reid Isbell said in a statement when God's Country launched last week. They hope to “bring the outdoor enthusiast or country music lover an up close and personal look into the minds of some of the best songwriters and artists of the genre — a place where they can be honest about struggles, relationships, their connection to the outdoors, the music business, family, whatever they feel comfortable talking about. We can’t wait to see where this partnership will lead and who this podcast will reach.”
