Wynonna Judd hailed Lainey Wilson “the next generation of greatness.”

Judd and Wilson teamed up on a reimagined rendition of “Refugee,” a classic late 70s rock anthem by Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers. The duet is one of 20 tracks to appear on a historic tribute album to Tom Petty with covers by some of country’s biggest artists. Petty Country: A Country Music Celebration of Tom Petty captured the late rocker’s iconic career with curation by many of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee’s friends and collaborators, and with oversight from Petty’s daughter, Adria Petty.

“When they said you were coming here, I’ll be honest. I thought, ‘what am I gonna do?’” Judd said in a Behind The Song video with Wilson that premiered earlier this week. “Because I get really nervous and I go through this whole thing and I put on my extra lashes — which, I never put on lashes to come down here — because I felt like you’re the next generation of greatness.”

The reigning CMA and ACM Entertainer of the Year previously shared a video of the moment her parents “REALLY started to think I was cool.” Wilson called them on FaceTime to introduce them to Judd, and show that they were working on their duet together.
