Kelly Clarkson delivered a stunning cover of Bailey Zimmerman’s heartache ballad “Rock and A Hard Place” during the Kellyoke segment of The Kelly Clarkson Show.
Zimmerman released “Rock and A Hard Place” on his debut full-length project in May 2023. The 16-track collection, Religiously. The Album., also included the title track, “Fall In Love,” “You Don’t Want That Smoke,” “Fix’n To Break” and other highlights. When Zimmerman released his first album around the time he delivered an epic metaverse performance at iHeartLand’s State Farm Park and making his iHeartCountry Festival debut in Austin, Texas. Zimmerman recently kicked off “Religiously. The Tour.,” headlining sold-out dates with special guest Josh Ross. Stops across the U.S. include Salt Lake Cit, Utah; Denver, Colorado; Boston, Massachusetts’; New York, New York; Houston Texas; and other destinations. He’s also set to take the stage in England, Scotland and Ireland.
“Rock and A Hard Place” is Clarkson’s latest spin on a country hit. The former Voice coach and original American Idol champ has previously performed her renditions of songs by Kylie Morgan, Trisha Yearwood, Jo Dee Messina, Faith Hill, Kelsea Ballerini, Randy Travis, Brooks & Dunn and many others.
