Mattie Jackson Smith and husband Connor Smith are expecting Baby No. 1!
Jackson Smith, country music legend Alan Jackson’s eldest daughter, announced in an Instagram post on Thursday afternoon (February 8) that she’s pregnant with a baby boy. Jackson Smith, cradling her growing baby bump, shared sweet photos of the parents-to-be with sonogram images. See the post here.
“I feel like I said so many times last year that 2023 topped the charts with more joy and celebration and redemption than any yet,” Jackson Smith wrote in her caption. “Well, I have a feeling 2024 may give it a run for its money… 🙏🏻🥳🙌🏻 We are absolutely thrilled to share BABY BOY SMITH coming this June!!! 💙 🥹 👶🏻 🤰🏻 💙”
Jackson Smith — who previously featured her father as a guest on her podcast, In Joy Life with Mattie Jackson — tied the knot with her husband last year. Jackson shared breathtaking family photos from the wedding at that time, saying that he and his wife of more than four decades, Denise, “are so happy to officially welcome Connor into our family!” Jackson Smith shared gorgeous photos with her fiancé and the engagement ring in 2022, when she announced she was a bride-to-be after Smith popped the question in Palm Beach, Florida.
Jackson became a grandfather for the first time when his daughter Ali, the middle of the three daughters, and her husband, Sam, welcomed Baby No. 1. Jackson Alvie Bradshaw made his arrival in December 2022. The beloved country star shared a heartwarming photo of he and Denise holding Jackson as he shared: “Denise and I are celebrating our 43rd wedding anniversary with our new grandson Jackson Alvie Bradshaw. …So happy that this little guy has made us grandparents!”
Jackson’s next grandson is due this June.
