Maddie Font shared a heartwarming tribute to her duo partner and best friend of 13 years, Taylor Kerr, in honor of her birthday on Monday (September 18). Font posted a few photos on Maddie & Tae’s Instagram account on Monday morning, gushing over her “soul sister” as she turns 28.
One photo showed Kerr holding Font’s newborn baby, who was born earlier this month. Other snapshots feature the award-winning duo in matching outfits, Kerr placing her hands on Font’s baby bump, and the duo with Kerr’s young daughter Leighton Grace (who made her arrival in January 2022).
“Happy birthday to my soul sister that I could not do life without,” Font wrote in her tribute to Kerr. “T you are the most loving, gentle, patient, graceful person I know. You are the best listener and encourager in the toughest of times. May year 28 shower you in blessings! I love you my girl ! here’s to 13 year besties there to fix hearts they didn’t break 🤍”
Kerr gushed in the comments: “sister!!!!! 😭😭 I love you!!!”
Maddie & Tae’s latest single to debut is “Heart They Didn’t Break,” a ballad written by Benjy Davis, Anna Vaus and Ryan Beaver, and produced by Corey Crowder. Though Font and Kerr often write their own music, they knew as soon as they heard “Heart They Didn’t Break” that “it was super special,” Font previously said. “I feel like it’s the soul sister of ‘Die From a Broken Heart.’” See Font’s tribute to Kerr here:
