Maren Morris got into the spooky spirit in the best way on Halloween… The award-winning singer-songwriter posted a cryptic tweet on Monday morning (October 31), teasing something by the end of the week: “I don’t do tricks but I’ve got a treat coming for you Friday.”
Morris only added two emojis following the mysterious hint, a log and a flame, and Twitter users were almost immediately ablaze with guesses about what’s going on Friday (November 4). Some wondered whether Morris would release a music video for “Can’t Love You Anymore,” others were hopeful for an announcement that she would tour in Europe, and some even guessed at a collaboration with Taylor Swift or an update on her audition for Wicked (Morris tried manifesting her dream role when she sent in her audition tape for Wicked on Broadway earlier this year. She gushed in an emotional tweet in August that she got a callback for the smash-hit musical).
Twitter users and other fans of the “Circles Around This Town” artist may have to wait until Friday to see what Morris meant by the mysterious message on Monday morning. She offered no other hints as of publication time, though she did share a few photos dressed in costume and marked a thankful moment as she nears the end of her “Humble Quest Tour”: “One show left of the Humble Quest tour. See you December 2nd at Bridgestone Arena, Nashville. My heart is full.”
