Scotty McCreery released one of the songs from his highly-anticipated deluxe album that’s set to drop next month, and the upbeat bonus track chronicles a sweet tale of young love in a small town.
McCreery’s “Small Town Story” debuted on Friday (October 21). The hit-making country artist breaks down the story chapter by chapter, beginning with his life growing up and progressing into bigger stages of life: tying the knot, buying a house, getting a dog and possibly having kids in the future (but they’re “gonna have to read” on to find out).
In real life, McCreery is about to welcome his first kid with wife Gabi McCreery. The happy couple announced the pregnancy over the summer, sharing that their “little man” would be born late this year. McCreery recently played his final set of shows before his son his son is expected to arrive.
McCreery announced in September that he has the Same Truck: The Deluxe Album on the way, too, revealing that it would be available on November 18. He said in a tweet at that time: “I’ve been sitting on these extra songs that we recorded since we started the Same Truck project,” and he’s releasing them all soon. Listen to “Small Town Story” here:
