Ryan Hurd was all about the good vibes when he treated the audience to some of the best songs from his debut album, which included “Coast,” “Platonic,” “To A T,” “Pass It On,” and of course, his smash-hit song he released with his superstar wife Maren Morris, “Chasing After You,” (though Morris’ voice played on a recorded track, rather than an onstage appearance), among other fan-favorites.

Bobby Bones introduced the hit-making singer-songwriter stepped onto the Daytime Stage at the 2022 iHeartRadio Music Festival on Saturday afternoon (September 24). Hurd — who has written or co-written tons of No. 1 hits like Luke Bryan's “Sunrise, Sunburn, Sunset” and “Waves,” Blake Shelton’s “Lonely Tonight,” and Lady A’s “What If I Never Get Over You” and “You Look Good,” to name a few — dropped his debut solo project, Pelago, in October 2021. He credited Morris with helping to jumpstart the entire 15-track album via the power couple’s heartfelt duet: “It’s been amazing to see the ride this song has taken us on. …It really set up this entire album…It’ll always be the most special song, I think, in our catalog.”
