Heartwarming Moments That Prove Maren Morris & Ryan Hurd Are Couple Goals

Maren Morris and Ryan Hurd have proved time and again that they’re the epitome of couple goals. The singing-songwriting power couple first met nearly a decade ago, and began their relationship later. Morris and Hurd tied the knot in 2018, and since then, they’ve welcomed their first child, Hayes Andrew Hurd, now 2 years old.

Morris and Hurd have also shown the strength of their bond as they’ve supported one another’s music, and even collaborated on the smash-hit duet about an on-again, off-again couple, “Chasing After You.” They were the third married couple this century to release a Top 10 duet, Hurd noted last year.

Hurd included the song on his debut full-length album, Pelago, which he released in October 2021. He credited his duet with his wife with setting up “the entire album,” saying around that time that it will “always be the most special song, I think, in our catalog.” Morris gushed that she “cannot keep the tears in my eyes today…I am the proudest wife and co-writer that exists on this planet today, so, PASS IT ON” (Morris referenced the title of one of Hurd's songs, and made a cameo in the music video).

Likewise, when Morris was days away from releasing Humble Quest earlier this year, she shared a sweet photo on Instagram, locked in an embrace with her husband. “This album wouldn’t have happened without you,” she said. Morris credits the project as “one of my most precious works because it stripped away a lot of flash & rebelliousness I was hiding behind and revealed my true self: a vulnerable AF little girl who needed to grieve my losses, celebrate my wins, grow up and face the music… for my son, for my family, for myself.”
