Kelsea Ballerini proves that she’s the ultimate “ride or die” as she pledges to be the getaway Mercedes as her bestie robs a bank and lie through her teeth if she — hypothetically — ever kills her husband. The “bippity bop” with ‘90s country sound is the latest track to release from Ballerini’s highly-anticipated album, Subject To Change.

Ballerini confirmed on her social media channels that she’d kick off the weekend by releasing the dance-worthy tribute to friends: “it’s giving thelma and louise mary anne and wanda ride or die through calm and chaos a thank god for friends bippity bop.” The music video depicts Ballerini keeping calm in the chaos, as the bright, sunny day fades into a dark storm. Ballerini said on Instagram that it’s for “your ride or die that you’d call if the world was ending.”

“‘Cause dirt on you is dirt on me/ And we both know our hands ain’t clean/ If it all blows up and we end up on the news/ If you go down, I’m goin’ down too.”

“If You Go Down (I’m Goin’ Down Too)” is the latest song to release from Subject To Change, following “HEARTFIRST,” “Love Is A Cowboy,” “The Little Things” and “What I Have.” The 15-track project also includes a “sassbomb” collaboration with Carly Pearce and Kelly Clarkson that fans are eager to hear. Ballerini previously shared that the collection is “different than anything I’ve ever done, and it’s heavily influenced by… ‘90s female country.”

Subject To Change is set to release on September 23.
