Kenny Chesney and Old Dominion kicked off the weekend with the perfect party anthem to get you ready to crack open a beer with your friends. Chesney and Old Dominion announced their new song to remember the “Here And Now” Tour, Chesney’s nationwide headlining trek that includes the “No Hard Feelings” band (along with Dan + Shay and Carly Pearce).

“There’s nothing like hitting that local bar with your friends,” Chesney shared on his social media channels when the song released on Friday (August 26). “That’s what this whole [‘Here And Now’ Tour] has felt like... every city, every face, every song. It’s so much more than a show or a concert. It’s really letting go, and I wanted to capture that in a song. [‘Beer With My Friends’] is all of it.”

Old Dominion said in a tweet on Thursday (August 25) that there are “two things we love: Beer and our friend [Kenny Chesney].” Together, it’s the recipe for what they deemed “a damn good song.” The band and Chesney sing on the new track:

“Right now I really need a beer with my friends/ Pop a top or two and talk about way back when/ With some folks that seen me through thick and thin/ Start seeing life through a rose-colored neon lens/ We're gonna get that old jukebox working hard/ Before it's over I'll know everybody in this bar/ It's been too long no matter how long it's been/ Right now I really need a beer with my friends.”
