HARDY drummed up anticipation for his next single as the award-winning singer-songwriter dropped a teaser on social media on Monday (August 22). HARDY revealed that his next single is a collaboration with “Watermelon Moonshine” singer Lainey Wilson. The two artists are teaming up on a song called “Wait In The Truck,” HARDY announced, calling the song “a special one.” It’s set to release on Friday (August 16).
The announcement comes as the “Give Heaven Some Hell” artist is days away from receiving the Academy of Country Music Songwriter of the Year award at the ACM Honors ceremony on Wednesday (August 24), hosted at the historic Ryman Auditorium in Nashville, Tennessee. HARDY was named Songwriter of the Year as an “exceptional writer, one of Country Music’s most distinctive and creative talents, who has co-penned 11 #1 singles since 2018.”
Wilson, the reigning ACM New Female Artist of the Year, is among the artists included in the star-studded lineup for the show. Wilson recently released her latest single, “Watermelon Moonshine,” from her upcoming album, Bell Bottom Country. The highly-anticipated follow-up to her debut album, Sayin’ What I’m Thinkin’, is slated to release on October 28. See HARDY’s 30-second teaser of “Wait In The Truck” here:
