Lainey Wilson is taking her signature “Bell Bottom Country” to new levels. The reigning iHeartRadio Music Awards Best New Country Artist announced her sophomore album on Thursday (August 11), following her debut project, Sayin’ What I’m Thinkin’.
Wilson’s new album, Bell Bottom Country, is set to release on October 28, she confirmed on her social media channels. One of her new songs, “Watermelon Moonshine,” will be available to kick off the weekend on Friday (August 12), and fans can already listen to “Heart Like A Truck,” Wilson’s empowering anthem about resilience through life’s obstacles.
Wilson shared a snippet of “Watermelon Moonshine” on Instagram on Wednesday (August 10), teasing that she was “some more big news to share with y’all” as she seemingly dropped a major hint at at her album announcement. Wilson has been teasing “Watermelon Moonshine” for several days. The song is one that fans already expect will be an “instant classic,” giving “Strawberry Wine” (Deana Carter) and “What I Love About Sunday” (Craig Morgan) vibes.
The “Bell Bottom Country” singer-songwriter, a previous iHeartRadio “On The Verge” artist, released her breakout hit, “Things A Man Oughta Know,” last year.
