Alan Jackson is going to be a grandpa!
The country music legend will have a grandson born later this year. His daughter, bestselling author Mattie Jackson Selecman, gushed on her Instagram story that her sister Ali, the middle of Jackson’s three girls, is expecting a baby boy. Selecman celebrated her nephew’s upcoming arrival in December as she congratulated her sister and brother-in-law. Jackson hasn’t directly commented on his daughter’s pregnancy on his social media channels as of publication time on Thursday (July 21), but he did reference his own music when he shared on Facebook and Twitter: “A lot about livin' and a little 'bout love.” Some fans took it as an opportunity to congratulate Jackson in the comments.

“I’ve always admired my heroes like George Jones, Merle Haggard, Loretta Lynn and Charley Pride who just played as much as they wanted to, as long as they could,” Jackson said in a statement at that time. “I’ve always thought I’d like to do that, and I’d like to as long as my health will allow,” he said, adding with a smile, “I’ll try to do as much as I can, but if I’m comin’ your way, come see me….”
