Thomas Rhett and Lauren Akins had no problem bringing the bar to each other — and now, he’s bringing the bar to fans on his tour.

The “Slow Down Summer” artist released his latest album, Where We Started, in April. It’s the first of two albums set to release this year, followed by Rhett’s Country Again: Side B in the fall. The 15-track album is packed with fan-favorites like “Church Boots,” “Angels,” “Half of Me” (feat. Riley Green), “Where We Started” (feat. Katy Perry) and more. It also includes the song that inspired his tour name, “Bring The Bar,” which Rhett wrote with his dad, Rhett Akins, along with Jesse Frasure, Ashley Gorley and Parker Welling.

Rhett recalled getting “creative” with Akins during the pandemic, bringing the bar to one another when they couldn’t go to a real one. He said in a statement shared by his record label:

“Yeah, I mean me and Lauren got real good at bringing the bar to each other during 2020. I don’t think we saw a bar for a year and a half, and so we got really good at getting creative with date night – whether it was cooking together, watching a movie downstairs, opening a bottle of wine, whatever it was. This song just like, made me smile and it reminded me of the fun that we had to make in 2020, but also turned into kind of a party jam.”
