Zac Brown Band has another collaboration on the way… They recruited an award-winning hitmaker for a new version of a song on 2021’s The Comeback.

Cody Johnson is set to team up with the eight-member band to put a new spin on “Wild Palomino.” Due out July 15, the upcoming release is one that social media users (including fellow artist Ashland Craft) are hailing the “ULTIMATE COLLABORATION,” expressing that they’re eager to hear the full song. Zac Brown Band and Johnson shared a brief teaser as they announced the upcoming version of “Wild Palomino” on Thursday (July 7): “Cowboys and love songs, that's country music right there.”

“Wild Palomino” is one of 15 tracks on The Comeback, which Zac Brown Band debuted in October 2021. The collection also includes “Out In The Middle,” “Same Boat,” “Slow Burn” and other fan-favorites, blending influences from all eight band members. During the band’s exclusive iHeartRadio Album Release Party, frontman Zac Brown hails it “the best album that I’ve ever made.

Last month, Zac Brown Band released a new version of “Out In The Middle” with Blake Shelton. It’s one of the songs that’ll be featured on the deluxe edition of the band’s album, set to release this fall. Additional artists featured on the deluxe collection will be announced later this summer.
