Kenny Chesney debuted his latest music video as a tribute to every woman who marches to the beat of her own drum rather than making someone else’s milestones her own. The country giant sings while depicting a wanderlust woman on a majestic road trip through forests, mountains and beachside, not holding back from embarking on the new adventures she wants (even if her adventures differ from everything her peers are seeking to accomplish):
“She's bored with all the boys/ And the men are too damn old/ She's sick of summer love/ But the winter's just too cold
“She's a Marilyn in blue jeans/ With a touch of Jackie O/ She's stuck between 17/ And everyone she knows”
Chesney released “Everyone She Knows” as the latest single from Here And Now, his 16-track studio album that released in 2020. He shared on Instagram in January: “Excited to share that the next single from the #hereandnow album is ‘Everyone She Knows.’ I know so many women who are their own compass... and this song is for them. Wherever you are, however you are, just love the adventure and don’t worry what people think. #everyonesheknows”
“Nothing is more powerful or interesting than a woman who has a sense of her destiny and is willing to go chase it. It’s not always conventional, but that’s what makes her passion so much stronger. Whether it’s my island friends, musicians like [Grace Potter], several women on my team, or any of you, No Shoes Nation… some women have a way of embracing life that’s unlike anyone else. And I think that’s awesome,” Chesney added in a new post on Friday (March 11).
