It’s a boy!
Lauren Bushnell Lane and her husband, country star Chris Lane, are expecting another son, Lauren confirmed in a heartwarming Instagram post on Monday afternoon (September 12). She shared series of adorable family photos, wearing a gorgeous light blue dress and holding her baby bump as Chris stands beside her with son Dutton Walker, who turned 1 over the summer.
“We can’t wait to meet you baby BOY 💙💙💙,” Lauren wrote in her caption with blue heart emojis. Chris shared a clip from the gender reveal, set to “Ain’t Even Met You Yet.” The reel shows Chris, donning an Atlanta Braves jersey, swinging a baseball bat to find a huge puff of blue dust as he comes in contact with the ball, beaming with a big smile to learn that he’s expecting another son.
Chris and Lauren happily announced earlier this year that Baby No. 2 was on the way. Lauren admitted that she was “shocked” to learn that she was expecting another child, she told PEOPLE when she and Chris confirmed the pregnancy in June. Dutton was nearly 8 months old at that time, she recalled, remembering that “I truly had no symptoms. I was actually more so taking a pregnancy test just to reconfirm that was not what was going on! And to my surprise and to Chris' surprise, it was very much positive.”
Chris and Lauren said that although the timing surprised them, they’d always planned on having at least two kids. They married in October 2019 and announced in June 2021 that they’d welcomed their first child. “We blinked, and it was here,” Chris told iHeartRadio of Dutton’s first birthday. He added that “we’re excited” to have another addition to the family. “It’s gonna be awesome.”
