Walker Hayes was blown away by a medley of some of his biggest hits, covered by sister duo Tigirlily. The duo, made up of Kendra and Krista Slaubaugh, shared their mashup on TikTok on Wednesday (August 10), sharing that they’re “pumped” to open for Hayes over the next two weekends.
Hayes shared his reactions as the Slaubaugh sisters expertly put their own acoustic spins on “Fancy Like,” “Y’all Life,” “AA,” and “You Broke Up With Me,” flawlessly transitioning from song to song. Hayes told Kendra and Krista, “y’all got gifts,” he captioned when he posted the clip on Instagram. “I have no face anymore because you blew it off🔥🔥🔥❤️❤️❤️” Watch Tigirlily’s jaw-dropping mashup of cover songs here:
The Slaubaugh sisters, originally hailing from North Dakota, have been harmonizing with one another since childhood. They credit The Chicks, Sugarland and Rascal Flatts among their biggest musical influences, according to their bio on their website. Their name was inspired by the “Tiger Lily” flower that grew in the garden of their home where they grew up.
Hayes’ latest single to release is “Y’all Life,” a tribute to all the staples of small-town life and the perfect summertime country anthem (which even includes a nod to Nelly's iconic 2000 hit, “Country Grammar”). Hayes released a music video for the song last month, packed with cameos made by “some of my favorite people!” Re-watch the video here:
