Luke Combs took to his social media channels to post his cover of Jordan Davis’ hit song “Buy Dirt,” a collaboration with fellow country hitmaker Luke Bryan. Combs’ heartfelt acoustic rendition earned praise from Davis, who shared the video on his own Instagram story and wrote in a comment: “Damn, I thought I sang this one pretty good…You crushed this buddy, thank ya 👊”

Davis recently explained to iHeartCountry that “Buy Dirt” is ultimately about three important things: “I say that song was about my faith, about my family and about my friends. I wrote it with my brother and another set of brothers that are two of our best friends. So, it’s just kind of — I don’t think that song gets written if it’s not with three guys that I dearly love, about three things that are the most important things in my life. So, it’s kind of all that tied into one.”

Combs is gearing up to release new music of his own. He recently revealed that the title of his next album is Growin’ Up, a 12-track project that’s due on June 24. Ahead of the album release, Combs debuted his latest song, “Tomorrow Me,” which predicts future regret: “Tomorrow me ain’t gonna like the way things go tonight/ If I let you in and think that it’ll be different this time/ So maybe we should let yesterday be/ ‘Cause I gotta live with tomorrow me”
