A listener called into the Bobby Bones Show sharing they saw a "Bobby Bones" bull at a PBR event. So Scuba Steve tracked down the owner of the bull so we could hear about the namesake.

The owner of the bull Josh Hilton called in and revealed it surprisingly wasn't named after Bones. The name came from a movie called 2 Guns with Denzel Washington. Hilton is a big Washington fan and they called him Bobby Bones in the movie. So ever since the bull was a calf, he has reminded him of Washington in that movie. Also, Hilton's partner Bob Whisnat trained Bones so the namesake also comes after him. Hilton noted that before he was a full time buck and bull trainer, he used to listen to the show so the name wasn't unfamiliar to him.

Bones the bull walks around like he's tough and really confident, but he will let you pet him and hand fed him. He has this very tough persona, but he wants to be your buddy at the end of the day. Bones the person said that reminds him a lot of himself. They tested Bones the bull out at some low level things and realized he would be a good fit for competitions. When explaining how Bones the bull gets picked for competing, Hilton explained that a livestock director selects the bulls for events. Once Bones the bull gets selected, then it's a random draw for which rider will be on them. Then the bulls are judged on how they perform in the ride and then bulls will be awarded prize money if they performed best. Bones the Bull is 3-years-old, so he has 2 years left of competitions, and getting him to the PBR world finales in May is their next goal.

When Bones the person asked if there's an opportunity for him to invest in Bones the bull, he said absolutely. He can invest in a variety of things and Hilton was even willing to change the bull's name to Bobby Bones Show. However, Bones the human didn't want that for Bones the bull.
