Rumors have recently circulated about Kelsea Ballerini’s personal life, and the singer-songwriter says she’s prioritizing her peace.

Ballerini, 32, invited Instagram users to ask her anything on Monday (December 1). She responded to several of the questions on her Instagram story, including “How are YOU?!? You heal a lot of us, what do YOU need?”

“Thank you for saying this and asking,” Ballerini wrote in her response. “I’m in a steady and happy place right now. Truly excited for this Australia tour and the holidays. If I had one favor, it would be honoring that I’m trying to make my personal life personal for now. Unless it comes from me, it’s not from me. And that is really important in protecting my peace right now.”

Ballerini didn’t directly address recent rumors about her relationship status; however, her message arrives shortly after Chase Stokes appeared to reference a breakup on his own Instagram story. The Outer Banks actor, 33, wrote: “Don’t believe the media. I’m blocked, I did nothing wrong.” He and Ballerini appear to have unfollowed one another on Instagram as of publication time on Tuesday (December 2). He continued: “Sorry. I tried. I’m sorry for those who believed in us. It is what it is. Onwards and upwards.” Stokes’ comments arrived after rumors about whether he and Ballerini had reconciled after news broke in September of their split. They dated for more than two years.

Ballerini’s most recent project to release is Mount Pleasant, a 6-track EP that includes “I Sit In Parks,” “People Pleaser,” “Emerald City,” “587,” “The Revisionist” and “Check On Your Friends.” Mount Pleasant, which takes on the same name as a South Carolina town and an Outer Banks filming location, marks “a chapter of heavy self examination, longing, and stepping further into who I am as a 32 year old woman.”

“In feeling so seen by fans and music lovers in my more recent music that has felt more emotionally peeled back and sometimes uncomfortably honest, I felt encouraged to let it all out in the safest way I know how,” The 2026 Grammy nominee said, in part, when the EP made its debut. “From the body clock crash outs, to the ‘who the f*** am I outside of who people tell me I am?,’ to the admission and ick of comparison and jealousy, to making peace with the past, to the urgency of checking on your friends and yourself into the future. Mount Pleasant is a place, a feeling, an uphill journey, and an idea of what’s to come. Welcome to the park ❤️”
