LeAnn Rimes Reveals How She Got A Black Eye: 'What In The World?'

LeAnn Rimes revealed she “gave myself a black eye,” and shared a look at her injury on her Instagram story on Wednesday evening (October 1).

Rimes, 43, “came off set and gave myself a black eye.” She ran her fingers over the “f***ing huge bump,” she said with a laugh in the video shared on her Instagram story. “I hit myself in the eye with this,” the Grammy-winning artist explained as she held up a water bottle. On the next slide of her story, she examined the injury without makeup.

“This is what it really looks like now. What in the world?” Rimes said as she observed the bruise. “It’s really sad that I’ve done this to myself.”

Though Rimes didn’t say which set she was on, the country star is getting ready to debut an upcoming series, 9-1-1: Nashville. The show also stars Kimberly Williams-Paisley, Chris O’DonnellJessica CapshawHailey KilgoreMichael ProvostJuani Feliz and Hunter McVey. Kane Brown was also confirmed as a guest star on the show. ABC previously described the the newest 9-1-1 installment as “a high-octane procedural about heroic first responders, as well as their family saga of power and glamour set in one of America’s most diverse and dynamic cities.” 9-1-1: Nashville is set to premiere on Thursday, October 9, airing on ABC and streaming the next day on Hulu.

Rimes is also getting ready to release her Greatest Hits Christmas album, and kick off a holiday tour in December. She said when she announced the project that “Christmas is starting early! I love it. I hope you love this album as much as I do.”
