Audrey Evans welcomed Baby No. 1!
Audrey and her boyfriend John Headley, announced late Monday night (September 29) that son John Evans Headley was born that day weighing 7lbs 4oz. Audrey wrote in her caption on Instagram, “welcome to the world our perfect angel… Thank you Jesus🤍” Headley added that their newborn is “the greatest blessing we could ever ask for,” he wrote in the comments. “I love you so much [Audrey Evans] and I can’t wait to raise this amazing baby boy together! ❤️❤️❤️”
Audrey, 20, is the youngest of country star Sara Evans’ three children. Sara is also a mom to daughter Olivia, 22 (who recently got married in a stunning “fairytale wedding”), and son Avery, 25.
“I cannot stop crying! Life changing! He is the cutest baby ever and I love you so much Audrey and John! Praise God!” Evans beamed in the comments of her daughter’s announcement she wrote in an Instagram post of her own: “Meet our grandson! We are so blessed! [Audrey Evans] [John Headley] we are so thrilled for you and proud of you! I can’t even put this into words! Granny and Grandaddy! We are obsessed! 🩵🩵🩵he is the most beautiful baby! Praise God!!!!!!!”
“A BABY! How blessed are we,” Audrey wrote in her Instagram caption when she announced her pregnancy earlier this year. She said at the time that she and Headley were “welcoming our tiny angel this October,” and “we’re so excited to meet you.. thank you Jesus!” Headley commented that he was “excited to start this journey” with Audrey.
Audrey added to told PEOPLE at the time: “We are beyond joyful and deeply grateful to God for this incredible blessing. I am honored to step into motherhood and embrace everything that comes with it. We feel so lucky to have such a tight-knit family who we know will surround us — John, the baby, and me — with endless love and support.” Sara added to the outlet that “words cannot express how excited and happy I am for Audrey and John! I am already so in love with my grandchild and can’t wait to meet the little angel!”
Audrey joined Sara on “an extra special episode” of her podcast, Diving In Deep with Sara Evans, earlier this year. The mother-daughter duo cast their predictions before the gender reveal. They both said they “think it’s a boy.” Days later, the sweet gender reveal proved Sara and Audrey right. Audrey exclaimed, “I knew it!”
