RaeLynn revealed new details about an emotional unreleased ballad on Friday (September 5), one day after stirring anticipation with a sneak peek.
The former The Voice contestant teased a song about losing “the person you thought was forever.” Now, she announced the soon-to-debut duet is titled “Still Feels The Same,” featuring Jake Banfield. It’s set to arrive on Friday, September 12. RaeLynn and Banfield sing:
“You think by now I wouldn’t have to miss it/ Everything around me is so different/ But still feels the same/ Hearing your name/ You put out the fire, but I still feel the flames/ I want it to change/ But maybe I don’t ever wanna find my way/ Out of this smoke/ In my mind, it isn’t real/ Tell me why time isn’t healing the pain/ It still feels the same”
“Still Feels The Same” will follow “Long Live Country Music” and “Heaven Is A Honky Tonk” as RaeLynn continues to introduce her next era of music. The Texas-born singer-songwriter is currently part of the lineup on Jason Aldean’s headlining “Full Throttle Tour,” along with Nate Smith and Dee Jay Silver.
