Maggie Rose is a mom!
The Grammy Award-nominated singer-songwriter announced the birth of her son in a story PEOPLE published on Tuesday (April 22), along with the first heartwarming photos of the family of three. Rose and husband Austin Marshall welcomed their newborn son, Graham Thomas Marshall, on Sunday, April 13.
“Graham Thomas Marshall arrived at 8:46 PM on Sunday, April 13th and this week with him has been the most wonderful and crazy week of our lives,” Rose wrote in her caption as she shared adorable photos on Instagram of the family of three, crediting photographer Jamie Wendt. “He is healthy and happy and [Austin Marshall] and I feel a love for him that we have never known. We have taken a few walks in the beautiful spring weather and we’re all finding the swing of things a little more each day. He eats constantly and is already much squishier than the day he arrived.
“I feel so lucky to have the support system I have and our doctor at Vanderbilt feels like part of our family,” she continued. “One of the nurses who helped us with the delivery was named Maggie Rose! And another had the same middle name of Graham’s father, Thomas Austin. It was a magical day and every day since has been more so. I’m feeling strong and grateful that he is here and I can’t wait to have him side stage at his first show now that he is earth side—maybe he’ll feel the familiarity from of all the times he’s been on stage already. Thanks to everyone for the love and well wishes. 💗”
Rose announced in December that she was pregnant with Baby No. 1. She said as she debuted her baby bump at that time: “Austin and I are expecting our first son in April! I can’t wait to become a mother and I know Austin is going to be the best dad to our little rock and roll baby. Our lives are going to get crazier but taking on those big plans in life is such a central theme of my last album so it feels serendipitous that we received the fantastic news this year. I’m a professional napper now, especially on show days, but I feel grateful for how well I’ve felt throughout the pregnancy so far. So thankful to our families, friends and the huge community who continue to support us as we begin this new chapter.”
Rose is one of several artists welcoming a baby in 2025, including fellow first-time parents and other growing families. Other artists who welcomed babies this year include Dan + Shay’s Shay Mooney, Elle King, HARDY and more.
