Russell Dickerson Reveals 'Embarrassing' Moment Opening For Shania Twain

Russell Dickerson revealed his “most embarrassing stage moment by far.”

The “Love You Like I Used To” singer-songwriter caught up with Kaitlyn Bristowe on a recent episode of Off The Vine. That’s when Dickerson shared the story of his onstage “wipeout” when he opened a show for Shania Twain. Dickerson said when his set ended, he was “hyping up the crowd.” He was on a 50-foot catwalk extending into the crowd, and as he was running back to the main stage, Dickerson’s boot caught an uneven ledge and he tumbled. Dickerson said he heard a loud reaction from the crowd, but he got tight back up. Bristowe pointed out that the “Blue Tacoma” artist could’ve gone viral, and Dickerson replied, “I’m down.”

“Country music star Russell Dickerson brings his golden retriever energy to the Off the Vine studio! He spills on the $6 music video that changed everything, the four-year journey it took for Yours to finally hit No. 1, and the exact moment he prayed for a miracle—only for the sky to answer with a full-blown thunderstorm. But that’s just the beginning! Kaitlyn calls him out for not following her back, he relives a humiliating on-stage moment while opening for Shania Twain, and he takes on some juicy fan-submitted relationship questions in a segment created just for him, ‘Dear Russell.’ If you didn’t already love Russell, you definitely will after this hilarious, sing-along interview.”

Dickerson recently kicked off his headlining “RUSSELLMANIA TOUR” with a high-energy show in Nashville, Tennessee. His electrifying set included “God Gave Me A Girl,” “Home Sweet,” “Yours,” “Happen To Me” — his newest infectious single with a nod to an iconic 80s anthem — and other hits spanning his career.
