How Rascal Flatts Will Team Up With Blake Shelton, Kelly Clarkson, More

Rascal Flatts teamed up with Blake Shelton, Kelly Clarkson, Backstreet Boys and other artists put a fresh twist on some of the trio’s career-spanning hits. The announcement about the 10-track collaboration album, Life Is A Highway: Refueled Duets, arrives amid the band’s ongoing “Life Is A Highway Tour” to mark their 25th anniversary.

So far, Rascal Flatts has debuted the first track on the record, a new collaboration with iconic pop trio the Jonas Brothers titled “I Dare You.” Jonas Brothers star Nick Jonas wrote the “nostalgic yet fresh” anthem with Dan + Shay’s Shay MooneyDewain Whitmore Jr. and Tommy EnglishLife Is A Highway: Refueled Duets will also include genre-blending collaboration versions of “Summer Nights,” “What Hurts The Most,” “Life Is A Highway” and more. “It was such an honor to create this project with such incredibly talented artists, it’s a pretty indescribable feeling having your colleagues and friends do your songs in such unique ways and knock your socks off with the results,” frontman Gary LeVox, who performs in the group with Jay DeMarcus, and Joe Don Rooney, said in a statement. “This album is just another attempt for us to thank our fans for the blessings they’ve given us on this crazy journey the past 25 years, thanks for riding along with us!”

Rascal Flatts recently kicked off their headlining tour with Lauren Alaina and Chris Lane. The trio previously shared that they’d planned to tour in 2020, but the COVID-19 pandemic changed their plans. “Since then, we’ve been able to revisit our unique and special experience as a band and we’re ready to get out on the road again.” See the upcoming tour dates (though many are sold out) below.

Rascal Flatts will also take the stage at the 2025 iHeartCountry Festival presented by Capital One. The star-studded show is set for Saturday, May 3, returning to Moody Center in Austin, Texas. The 2025 iHeartCountry Festival lineup also includes Cole SwindellBrooks & DunnThomas RhettRascal FlattsSam HuntMegan MoroneyBailey Zimmerman and Nate Smith, plus host Bobby Bones.

Hulu will be the Official Streaming Destination of the festival, with performances livestreamed exclusively to all Hulu subscribers at no additional cost.
