Eric Church’s bar in Nashville is apparently offering a cocktail inspired by Morgan Wallen’s chair-throwing incident that took place at the bar nearly a year ago.
The vodka drink is called The Chair, according to a bar goer’s now-viral TikTok. The TikToker showed the menu item listed before including a shot of the drink — which includes a small folding chair hanging over the rim — from the rooftop of the bar, and a group of friends cheering the drink together. The Chair reportedly costs $19. Church’s bar also has a plaque on the rooftop reading: “DON’T EVEN THINK ABOUT IT, YOU ARE NOT MORGAN WALLEN.” iHeartRadio’s Brooke Taylor pointed out the plaque in a clip shared by Nashville-based country station The BIG 98.
Wallen was arrested and faced felony charges for allegedly throwing a chair from the six-story rooftop at Church’s bar, Chief’s, shortly before 11 p.m. on Sunday, April 7, 2024. The chair landed about three feet away from two Metro Nashville Police Department officers standing on the sidewalk below. Bar staff and other witnesses reportedly observed Wallen “lunging and throwing an object over the roof,” and saw him “pick up the chair, throw it over him, laughing afterward,” per previous reports. Chief’s previously poked fun at Wallen’s chair-throwing incident with a sign reading: “Our pigs fly. Our chairs don’t. Rodney Scott’s Whole Hog Rooftop BBQ.”
Wallen, who has since opened his own bar in Nashville, pleaded guilty to misdemeanor charges in connection with the incident in December. His attorney, Worrick Robinson, said in a statement at that time that the plea agreement “requires Mr. Wallen to spend 7 days at a DUI Education Center, be on probation for 2 years—one year for each of the misdemeanor charges for reckless endangerment—pay a $350 fine and court fees. Upon the successful completion of his probation, the charges will be eligible for dismissal and expungement. Mr. Wallen has cooperated fully with authorities throughout these last eight months, directly communicating and apologizing to all involved. Mr. Wallen remains committed to making a positive impact through his music and foundation.”
