Miranda Lambert shared a breakdown of her schedule when she filmed the Western music video for “Run,” a vulnerable ballad from her latest studio album.

Lambert unveiled her “day in the life” on TikTok on Thursday (February 27). The powerhouse singer-songwriter kicked off her day with hair and makeup between 10 a.m. and noon. She filmed the first setup between noon and 2 p.m., took an hourlong break (with her dogs) while the production team set up the next scene, and headed to the second location to begin filming at 3:15 p.m. Lambert’s horse, Cool, arrived on set at 4:30 p.m. Lambert filmed scenes with Cool until sunset. The Kate Rentz-directed music video was filmed in Gold Canyon, Arizona.

Lambert said during an album release show at Casa Rosa, her bar and live music venue in Nashville, Tennessee, that “Run” is “from 2015. It’s old, and I’ve been kind of saving it. It didn’t really have a place. And I don’t know if I was actually ready, if I’m being honest, to sing it before now.” “Run” is one of 14 tracks that appears on Postcards From Texas, Lambert’s latest album that serves as a nod to her home state. The record also includes “Armadillo,” “Dammit Randy,” “Santa Fe” with fellow Texan Parker McCollum, “Wranglers,” “Alimony” and more. Watch the music video for “Run” here:
