Stelen Keith Covel shared in a sweet announcement on Thursday (February 13) that his wife is pregnant with the couple’s first child.
Covel, 28, shared a selfie with his wife, Haley Covel, who is smiling while holding sonogram images. Haley, who married Covel in November 2021, captioned the joint Instagram post, “Baby Covel coming this summer 🤍🐣” Covel smiles in the photo, wearing a hat that reads “Country’s Cool Again” and donning one of his late father's merch t-shirts.
The pregnancy announcement arrives shortly after Covel paid tribute to the late country legend, marking “a whole year without my hero.” Toby Keith “passed peacefully…surrounded by family,” on February 5, 2024, following a battle with stomach cancer. He was 62. Keith is survived by his wife, Tricia Covel, his three children, Covel and daughters Shelley Covel Rowland and Krystal Keith, plus his grandchildren. A statement shared on Keith’s Instagram account on February 5 marked “a year since the world lost Toby,” and said “today we hope you will celebrate and listen to his music with us, where we know he is smiling down and raising his cup. A toast to a life well lived.”
