Lainey Wilson is engaged to Devlin “Duck” Hodges!

The reigning Academy of Country Music Entertainer of the Year shared engagement photos — including snapshots that show the stunning ring — on Instagram on Wednesday evening (February 12). Wilson referenced her romantic Whirlwind ballad in the simple caption: “4x4xU forever ❤️”

Wilson, 32, and Hodges, 28, a former NFL star, began dating in 2021. They made their red carpet debut together at the 58th ACM Awards in May 2023, at The Ford Center at The Star in Frisco, Texas. Since then, “Duck” has shown his support for Wilson at Country Music Association Awards, Country Music Television Awards, her headlining shows throughout the year and more. He’s also inspired the Louisiana-born singer-songwriter to write love songs, and Wilson has shared sweet glimpses of their relationship in clips set to “4x4xU.” 

Wilson said in an interview with PEOPLE shortly after making her relationship public that Hodges is “a very lovable person. …I was never really able to write love songs, because I don't know if I had actually felt it, but I'm writing me some love songs now. I’m grateful for him.”

Wilson said she “might have to propose to him,” when she recently caught up with Bunnie Xo, Dumb Blonde podcast host and Jelly Roll’s wife. Bunnie Xo said she was “manifesting for you and Duck to get married,” when the pair caught up ahead of the star-studded New Year’s Eve celebration in Nashville. Wilson looked at the camera at that time, and said to her now-fiancé, “no pressure, brother! No pressure. I might have to propose to him. We waitin’.” Still, Bunnie insisted, “Duck’s gonna do it. I can feel it.”

Wilson’s engagement announcement also quickly gathered celebratory messages from Mitchell Tenpenny, Maddie & Tae’s Taylor Kerr, Ashley Cooke, Jordan Davis and other country stars. Congrats, Lainey and Duck!
