Old Dominion debuted an upbeat, sentimental anthem to close out a week of headlining shows at the historic Ryman Auditorium in Nashville, Tennessee.

The reigning, seven-time Country Music Association Vocal Group of the Year winners released “Making Good Time” on Friday (February 7). It’s the bad’s first song to release since they took a nostalgic stroll down memory lane to deliver Odie’s But Goodies, a collection of greatest hits and fan-favorites spanning the course of the group’s career. Old Dominion said “after an amazing week at The Ryman, we couldn’t think of a better way to celebrate,” than with “Making Good Time.”

Old Dominion played seven shows over the course of four days in an effort to fundraise for seven charities: MusiCares, Save The Music, backline, CMA Foundation, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, the Opry Trust Fund and the Ramsey Foundation. The shows took place from Monday (February 3) through Thursday (February 6).

“To have won the award that so many greats before us have, let alone seven times in a row, is truly a blessing,” Old Dominion said when the band announced the Ryman residency, shortly after winning Vocal Group of the Year at the 58th CMA Awards in November. “We decided the best way for us to celebrate this is to give ourselves and fans a way to come together and help raise resources for these great charities that are out there spreading goodness around trying to help people. We look forward to changing things up, stripping things back, embracing spontaneity, and really make each show unique and different.”

Old Dominion shared photos by Mason Allen on Instagram. The shows included surprise guests Charles Kelley, Kenny Chesney, Brothers Osborne and more. Listen to “Making Good Time” here:
