History-making Grammy winner Kacey Musgraves dazzled in a shimmering fringe skirt and simple white tank top as she walked the red carpet at the 67th Grammy Awards on Sunday (February 2), and shared heartfelt remarks as she scored her latest award. The show takes place at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles, California, and honors the city after the devastating wildfires last month (including with a QR code that led to the MusiCares Fire Relief fund).

Musgraves, 36, donned the Ralph Lauren look as she won in the Best Country Song category for “The Architect,” one of 14 tracks that appeared on the singer-songwriter’s fifth studio record, Deeper Well. Musgraves released the album in March, after teasing it at the 2024 Grammy Awards, and followed with a 21-track deluxe edition in August. The record also includes “Cardinal,” the title track, “Too Good to be True,” and more. Musgraves’ latest Grammy victory arrives days after she announced a mini documentary to “dive deeper into the patchwork moments that lent themselves to the whole quilt.” Musgraves said when she announced the mini doc that “making Deeper Well was profoundly therapeutic. I felt really pulled to write and record it in beloved NYC, in the heart of Greenwich Village. The creation journey ended up taking me to a mossy, windswept Iceland and so many unforgettable places in between.”

Musgraves said as she accepted her award on Sunday: “There’s so much darkness in this word right now, and it just feels so good to be able to fight some of that darkness through song. It’s such an honor.”
