Indiana Fever guard Caitlin Clark broke her silence on recently attending the Kansas City Chiefs' AFC Divisional Round playoff game with pop superstar Taylor Swift earlier this month.

Clark, 23, a lifelong Chiefs fan, was seated next to Swift, 35, the girlfriend of tight end Travis Kelce, in a luxury suite at Arrowhead Stadium during Kansas City's 23-14 win against the Houston Texans on January 18. The former Iowa Hawkeyes star and 2024 WNBA Rookie of the Year described Swift as "very sweet and very kind" while discussing the "very normal" day with Iowa Hawkeyes 247Sports insider David Eickholt.

“It’s just a good reminder of people in our position like, we’re very normal,” Clark said. “Sometimes our lives aren’t normal but we’re very normal people and we enjoy doing fun things too, we enjoy watching sports, we enjoy hanging out with our friends and things like that. It just puts a great perspective on life and where you’re at in your career.”

“It’s just cute to see how excited she is for the Chiefs,” Clark added. “And getting to share that like, ‘Oh my god, I love this.’ Like, she loves the Chiefs as much as me.”

Clark, who also recently appeared on the New Heights podcast hosted by Travis and his brother, retired former Philadelphia Eagles All-Pro center Jason Kelce, attended Swift's 'Eras Tour' in Indianapolis last November. Swift has attended the majority Kelce's home games that haven't conflicted with her since-concluded touring schedule since the couple went public with their relationship in 2023.

Kelce famously revealed that he attempted to give Swift a friendship bracelet with his phone number when he attended her concert at Arrowhead Stadium prior to their relationship in 2023. Swift later said that the three-time Super Bowl champion "very adorably put me on blast" when he acknowledged the situation on his podcast, which she said "was metal as hell" while being featured as Time Magazine's 'Person of the Year' in December 2023.

The Chiefs are set to appear in their seventh consecutive AFC Championship Game, having won back-to-back Super Bowls, including and three of the last five. The Chiefs will face the NFC champion Philadelphia Eagles in a rematch of Super Bowl LVII, which took place two years prior.

Kansas City defeated Philadelphia, 38-35, with quarterback Patrick Mahomes claiming his second of three Super Bowl MVPs. The Chiefs look to become the first franchise in NFL history to win three consecutive Super Bowls, having already won three in the last five years.
