RaeLynn shared a throwback from her journey on The Voice as she marked a full circle moment on Tuesday (January 21).
The Texas-born singer-songwriter, now 30, competed on Blake Shelton’s team during her time on the smash-hit show in 2012. RaeLynn was 17 years old when she covered Jason Aldean’s 2009 anthem, “She’s Country.” Aldean released the song on his 12-track album, Wide Open, which also included “Crazy Town,” “Big Green Tractor,” “The Truth” and more. RaeLynn’s latest post arrives shortly after she covered “The Truth,” and tagged Aldean when she wrote, “I’m starting a petition that you put this back in your set.”
“Here is your sign that anything is possible and also I want to thank all my fans personally for following my journey as performer and singer, your girl was learning how to do it all on a national stage and thank you Jesus for the GLOW UP VOCALLY but I did keep some of the moves 😂 NOW LETS GO ON TOUR WITH JASON ALDEAN!!” RaeLynn gushed in her caption on Instagram as she shared a throwback clip of her performance on The Voice.
RaeLynn is joining Aldean on his headlining “Full Throttle Tour,” along with Nate Smith and Dee Jay Silver. The tour kicks off in May and runs through early October. Tickets to the newly-announced dates will be available to the general public on Friday (January 24). RaeLynn is also part of the lineup of Aldean’s co-headlining show with Brooks & Dunn at Fenway Park in Boston, Massachusetts. See the list of dates below.
