Tim McGraw said he’s “devastated” to see the impact of the wildfire in Los Angeles, California.
McGraw shared a few photos on Instagram on Tuesday evening (January 14), including a snapshot of first responders working to extinguish the flames and a throwback of McGraw on stage at Kia Forum. He wrote in his caption: “We are devastated seeing the fires in the Los Angeles area, a place that has always been so welcoming to our family and crew. The bravery and selflessness being displayed by the first responders is amazing to witness and we are so inspired by an entire community coming together for their neighbors. Our hearts are with you all.”
McGraw joins a growing list of country artists to express heartache over the ongoing devastation in Southern California. Many also shared lists of ways to help those impacted by the wildfire, including by donating money, time and material items for people and animals displaced by the fire. Country star Brad Paisley was one of the first to share a statement, opening up about the first home he bought with wife Kimberly Williams-Paisley in Pacific Palisades. He wrote in his post last week, in part, “that beautiful old house burned last night. As did most of that community. So many good people displaced, devastated and cast out all over LA.” Paisley has since shared a post honoring the “heroes” responding to the fire. Others who have shared statements and ways to help include Reba McEntire, Carly Pearce, Kacey Musgraves, Anaheim, California-born artist Brett Young, and many more.
